4 Things That I Like From AsterSpring Other Than Their Facials

$
0
0

I have been a fan and a legit paying customer for AsterSpring's facial for some time. I used to love going for facials at their Signature outlet in Paradigm Mall while I was working nearby that area. Only recently, I've decided to switch my regular facials to a place in Klang because I've gotten comfortable with the therapist in that particular place. Plus, I've never really had enough opportunity to try the AsterSpring services in Klang that made me want to stick to their packages.

Anyhow, I still do like AsterSpring as a whole and I had the opportunity to learn more of what AsterSpring have to offer other than just their great facials. Check it out!

#1 Travel Friendly Products
If you dig through my travel bag of toiletries, I can assure you that there are at least 2 travel sized products that are from Dermalogica. To begin with, Dermalogica is an amazing skincare line that they use for their facials. Thus, to have them in your travel bag is rather luxurious. I always have their cleansing gel and multi-active toner spray with me, even if it's just a trip to the gym or a sleepover. Besides that, it's a brand that everyone believes in. Thus, I'm proud to share them with my friends when they forget to bring theirs cause I know it suits most skin types. And I've never had any issues with the packaging, they've never burst or leaked in my bag. Thumbs up!

#2 Vitalzyme Drink
I've just recently discovered this and holy moly, it taste fantastic! If you have a thing for sour-ish drinks, you'll love this too. It's an enzyme drink with 100% natural blend of 120 fruits and plants with key benefits of removing toxin, boost digestion, reduce fatigue and lethargic feeling, and strengthen immunity system. The best part about it is to add a shot into a glass of your favourite juice, making your very own perfect mocktail!

#3 Tisserand Aromatherapy Products
They are 100% pure organic, finest essential oils and authentic aromatherapy from UK. Well, that explains why are they so pricey to begin with. They have a face oil that I've used for many years when I was younger. Now I own a Roller Ball and 3 bottles of essential oil for burning or diffuser to help me de-stress and stay calm. I just love pampering myself with scents, it totally give me that zen feeling that everybody needs in this chaotic world. However, as mentioned, it's quite pricey, I personally think you can get similar great oils that's from Australia.

#4 Davines Simple Packaging
To be completely honest, I'm not head over heals for this haircare range because I haven't try them enough to actually find out if I like their products or not but I do want to give their packaging a thumbs up as it's super simple and clean. They are products from Italy and they are quite an advocate towards using natural ingredients as well as sustainability in beauty.

Thanks for the tour AsterSpring!

Linden Leaves is a well known high end market brand made famous previously by their beautiful face and body oils. Recently they've launch the new Linden Leaves Gold Range that's scientifically proven to boost collagen production, minimising wrinkles and fine lines. Focusing heavily on pampering our beautiful body, Linden Leaves Gold Range features age defying amaranth, red rice and chia, and luxurious 23kt gold. Yup, GOLD for your body!

Why Linden Leaves Gold?
  • Restore your skin's vitality.
  • Specially formulated to minimise and delay signs of ageing.
  • The active ingredients can increase moisture retention, improve regeneration, and support collagen synthesis for younger, firmer, and healthier looking skin.
  • It's enhanced with genuine 23-karat gold leaf for a luxury skin indulgence.

Linden Leaves Gold Range comes with 6 products in total but here are my top 4 favs...

#1 Gold Body Oil
This is the highlight of the range. Gold Body Oil with Amaranth and Chia is a treatment body oil enhanced with amaranth oil to hydrate the skin and improve moisture retention while Chia's nourishing essential fatty acids helps firm and soften the skin - delivering a long lasting radiant glow. (150ml, RM219)

#2 Gold Toning Face and Body Mist
This is a refreshing mist enriched with amaranth and red rice to help hydrate and restore skin vitality. It's also enhanced with natural witch hazel and chamomile to soothe, nourish and tone. (100ml, RM169)
#3 Gold Shimmer Mousse
It's a crazy gorgeous rich mousse designed to give a definite shimmer effect as well as help increases collagen synthesis to improve skin's elasticity and tone. It also comes with organic cold pressed chia oil for optimal skin nourishment. (150ml, RM249)

#4 Gold Body Lotion
Another shimmery product but with a lighter effect. Similarly enhanced with natural red rice extract to increase collagen synthesis, and certified organic amaranth protein to visibly improve skin hydration and moisture retention. (150ml, RM219)

Swatches for the lotion (left) and the mousse (right)

Product packaging for the mousse and bath salt.

My thoughts...
The oil, lotion, and mousse are all in the same category where they serve to moisturise your body. For me, it's an easy sure win with the oil as it's the only moisturiser that doesn't comes with shimmer. As much as the lotion and mousse are absolutely gorgeous with an amazing texture, I don't think shimmer works for me, unless I'm going out for an event or something. However, if you like that look, feel free to get them as truly, they are beautiful moisturisers that works fantastically. Other than that, I'm also all for the mist that can be used anytime of the day, before or on top of makeup.

Hits and Misses: Nakeup Face Makeup from Korea [Review]

$

0

I was approached by Nakeup Makeup a few months back to try and review some of their products. I'm super excited of course, it's makeup shipped all the way from Korea for me. However, to say I'm a 100% in love with their products will be a lie. In fact, I do have a few unpleasant things to mention for your information sake.

Before we go into the review, first I will have to give them two thumbs up for their shipping service. It was quick and really well packaged. Nothing was broken with all boxes looking new upon arrival. Unless you understand Korean language, you can't actually figure much out of their website. Thankfully, Nakeup Makeup is now available on 11Street.my and everything is in English! Yay! AND... it's free shipping for all! Double YAY!

All the products look amazing, physically. Their minimalist concept definitely did caught my attention. My only issue is that their labelling are all in Korean language, if you have more than one of the same range product, I'll have to memorise by numbers. Darn, I dread thinking about it now. You'll see what I mean as we go on further in this review.

Bear in mind, I'm not dissing their products, it's a review thus it's personal preference. I do not like certain products doesn't mean it won't work for others. As mentioned, I do have a few likes and dislikes.

Let's start with the basics, foundation. On 11Street, they call it the Waterking Cover Cushion and they have two shades, I got mine in Light Beige (21). Since the day I realised how convenient a Cushion foundation can be, I've been going crazy about it. I very much would like to love this product but unfortunately, this is a miss for me. It's something about the formula that makes my skin feels heavy and cakey immediately after application. I've tried all kinds of technique but my skin just goes bleh. Additionally, I'm not a big fan of the smell of this formula. It smells very crayola, I guess it's somewhat a waxy smell if you need a reference. The puff was quite a let down as well, tried it two times and that was it, it made the application super uneven. I give up trying, it's now collecting dust in my room... somewhere.

I kinda shy away from this a little when I learnt that I wasn't quite happy with the Cover Cushion because this Aura Volume Essence BB Stick do have that similar scent that held me back. I took a darker shade because I wanted to do the whole contouring thing but I realised it's a little too glowy for contouring but it's not all bad because moist bases are good, at least in my books because I have very dry skin. Thus, this does help me to achieve that Korean super glowy moist look.

I think overall for their bases, it could be due to their formula that's probably more suited to be used in cold, dry countries due to its great moisture finishes. Just not quite right for the Malaysian weather.

They call these the Eyegloss and I went "cool, I want to try those". It claims that it's coated with waterlight and something, something, sparkle vaseline light... I have no idea what they are talking about but they look amazing, stays on super well, and takes some effort to to learn how to use this. The thing about this is that it comes out liquid but dries rather quickly once you've spread it out. So you will have to work very fast with this. I do have to layer on quite a bit to get a slightly more opaque finish but truly, it looks beautiful if you can get it right. I won't give this fully a thumbs up but it's an okay product.

You see that beautiful bottle on the top left in the picture above? That's the Waterking Aqua Oil Mistand it's quite nice because it gives an immediate boost of moisture especially when you have been in a A/C room for really long. It will be perfect to bring this on flights if they come in a small packaging because we all know how being onboard sucks the life out of our skin. The difference between this and other mist is that this comes with the mix of Argan Oil where it keep the moisture staying on the skin instead of having regular mist evaporating off to thin air. Again, this is best use in a cool, dry environment. A lot of celebrities in Korea like this product and it's a hit for me!

Finally, the line of lippies. These are the One Day Water Volume Lip Ink and I have pretty much the whole set of it. Seriously, these are amazing. They are long lasting nifty little thing, they tinting effect is pretty crazy. Even after application, the colour stays vibrant for a really long time and doesn't stain cups while drinking once it's fully set. The colours are very much Korean bright colours, even the no makeup colour is pretty pigmented coral. Some precision are needed when applying but hey, if it last long, definitely worth the slight effort. Plus, I do like the scent of these lip inks, smell like cherry. Each of the products comes with a sticker that connects the cap to the body to ensure that it's new.

It's not overly drying and it does finishes somewhat matte-ish even though it's stated "water" lip ink. After a few hours, it will start to feel rather dry and I will have to apply on a clear gloss or a balm over it to keep it moisturised. What really bothers me about this is the labelling. I mentioned earlier that if you have more than one product from the same line, you'll get crazy confused as it's all in Korean language and numbering. Even with these 6 lip inks, I can't remember what number is which, then only way to know what colour are they is to keep the box, which I probably won't cause it just takes up too much of my vanity space. I might just cut the top of the box label and stick it on the product, looks ugly but whatever.

Overall, I wouldn't say it's the best brand for makeup but if anything, I will recommend the mist, lip ink, and maybe the eyegloss. The downside to these is that it's pricey, like very pricey. I don't even know if it's worth spending that much because there are so many dupes out there that are probably half the price and available in Malaysia for us to see, touch, and try in person before committing to invest in a beauty product. Especially with our Ringgit getting weaker, we'll just have to be a little wiser with our spendings.

What Happens To My Blue-Grey Hair After 2 Months...

$
0
0

From a crazy bright red (read my previous hair post here) to a dark blue-grey for the new year, literally, what a drastic change I have to say. It was definitely a little hard for me to get used to not being somewhat blonde for a little while. In fact, I had to do a little wardrobe switch up with this blue-grey hairdo.

I was invited by a Japanese hair care brand, ARIMINO for a hair session at their studio office 2 months back to try out their products. Their mission is to care for Asian Hair where you'll get to do chemical treatments without worrying of damaging too much of your hair. Of course, with proper love at home, healthier hair can definitely be achieved. There are pictures of my hair now at the end of this post.

This was definitely one of the quickest hair colour I've ever done! I only sat for 2-3 hours and I was done for the day. The reason for this is because they used a different colouring technique as compared to my usual salon colour do. Instead of separating the hair into many smaller sections for the brushing of the colour cream onto the hair pieces, the stylist just squeeze out the mixed colour cream from a bottle and massage it on my hair as a whole and only section in huge chunks of hair as needed. Then he added the blue onto the middle sections of my hair with the same technique.

I loved the colour as it's the in-trend dolly matte/pastel look. The grey looks perfect but the blue turned out a little patchy. I believe it's because of the technique, probably needs more time and attention spreading the blue colour cream out properly so it will look more even. He said is the style that wanted to achieve =_= ...... Whatever. On a lighter note, I can't deny that he did a great job at curling my hair and throughout the process, he was really gentle when handling my head and scalp. I'll give him a thumbs up for that.

Frankly, managing a matte/pastel hair colour is not the easiest thing to do. For starters, it looks dry without even trying and that's how it supposed to look... matte! So the best way to make it look lively is to use oil and keep it neat and done so it looks like effort have been put into it. Well, that's fully not what I did. I couldn't care less about styling it, I just paid a whole lot of attention into nurturing it, to keep it as healthy as possible. The grey lasted for some time but the blue faded out about within 2 weeks.

Blue-Grey Hair After 2 Months + Much Care...

A lot of my friends asked me if I've dyed my hair again. I did not, it just somehow naturally faded quite beautifully. Additionally, with all the love I've given it the past 2 months had paid off. It looks so much healthier now. The product that I've been using to repair my hair is the Sprinage Serum Oil by ARIMINO. It features Marine placenta, Argan oil and many other plant based essences for nutrient care with bergamot and lavender essential oils for a light aroma, which is pretty the bomb I tell you. Beside that, it can also be used on the skin too! :D

This is the new packaging that comes with a pump in an 80ml light, plastic bottle. In Malaysia, you can only get them at certain hair salon that carries ARIMINO services and products. I'm not quite sure about the pricing but I believe different salons might sell them at different price, so I highly suggest you call them and enquire about it first.

#OOTD - Off Shoulder Little Black Dress

$

0

Good Day Everybody! Let's start our Monday with a little black dress! Lols, okay, it's probably a little gloomy to start the week with something black. xD But I've just been meaning to get this OOTD pictures up on my blog because my boyfriend did a super fantastic job in taking my pictures, thus here's my way of appreciating his work. :D

If you are wondering where I got my outfit from... read on!

What I Wore:
Dress - Zalora.com.my

This dress is not only beautiful, it's also super easy to wear. Looks super feminine and girly, and I don't have to worry about the tummy sticking out if I had too much to eat that day. Plus, off-shoulder dresses/tops looks amazing on me, they are one of those trends that I can definitely pull off without hesitating. Plus, it has POCKETS!!!!! Hallelujah! But I don't recommend placing heavy stuff like your phone in as it will look very unsightly. Things like tissues and papers are alright.

The only thing is that the dress is made out of cotton type material, making it super prone to wrinkles, it's a must to iron this dress before wearing them out. Good news is, if you are not too much of an OCD like me, because the dress is black, the wrinkles are not too obvious if it's minor.

As for the fabulous genuine leather bag, I got it online from Carlo Rino's official online store and my gorgeous pink/nude heels are from Jelly Bunny. As much I do love how it looks on my feet, I need to find a way to ensure that the back of the shoe strap stops causing friction with my skin.

Hits & Misses: Vegan, Biodegradable, & All Natural Australia Products [Review]

$

0

I received this beautiful box about a month ago and when I opened it, I kid you not, I was swept immediately by a heavenly breeze of lavender scent, mainly came from the bar soap. My goodness, I was intrigued. I question, will I like this box of all natural product? I'm usually not quite keen with such things. Well, I wasn't all wrong but I wasn't fully right either. There was something different about this that I actually do like.

There were three products in the box - Handmade Lavender Soap, Rose Geranium Body Lotion, and Rosemary and Mint Shampoo. A little background about The Olive Tree, all their skin care products are vegan, biodegradable whilst using the highest quality natural ingredient sourced from plants. Specially made in Australia, the brand is strictly against animal testing. They are cruelty free and their products also do not contain the following:
  • Palm oil
  • Parabens
  • Petroleum
  • Phthalates (I honestly have no idea what this is)
  • Sulfates (SLS, SLES, etc.)
  • Synthetic colours and fragrances
  • Harmful chemicals and preservatives

They also provide FREE shipping within Malaysia with any purchase and free shipping to ASEAN countries with minimum nett purchase of USD$60. If you are interested already without me rambling about my thoughts on some of their products, feel free to check them out at theolivetree-organic.com, and no, I'm not paid or affiliated to promote this link.

Rosemary and Mint Shampoo (500ml, RM79.90)
Let's start with the shampoo since it's the only hair product I've got. When I saw Mint, I went YESSSSSSSS, thank you Lord! The product doesn't smell much of rosemary, the mint scent totally overpowers the other ingredient, and I absolutely love it. The shampoo thick liquid comes out clear with a hint of light yellow and lathers pretty well. Although, I was hoping for a "BAM" kinda cooling feeling on my scalp but it wasn't too bad, considering it's natural, that slight refreshing feeling after shampooing was satisfying enough. It has just that slightest hint of cooling effect and it cleanse my hair pretty well, definitely not one of those that leaves your hair feeling unwashed. The scent doesn't linger long on the hair, most of the time it get overpowered by my conditioner scent. I've grown to quite like this product.

Handmade Lavender Bar Soap (+/- 100g, RM24.90)
They gave me lavender probably because it's the most universally acceptable type of scent. I don't deny, I do have a weak spot for lavender other than having it as tea or in my food. It has been ages since I've used a bar soap to cleanse my body, seriously, I never really liked them because I have to handle them with extra care. Not forgetting the ample times a bar soap slips of my hands and ended up in the toilet bowl. But after trying this out, I'm quite willing to let go of my horrific bar soap incidents. This soap is a fantastic piece of goodness for my skin, it felt heavenly. It cleanses just at the right amount without completely making me feel as if my skin have been stripped off of my natural oils. And yet, still managed to make me feel as if I'm properly moisturised without feeling unclean. That well balance thing is quite hard to achieve with a bar soap. Of course, it smells heavenly as lavender is great for calming and soothing effect. Besides that, it's said to be antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. If given the chance, I would wanna try the Tea Tree Handmade Soap next because it claims to have healing and antibacterial properties, might want to try them on my face.

Rose Geranium Body Lotion (250ml, RM69.90)
This is one product that I don't really care for. It smells nice and all, and yes, probably very stress relieving and moisturising... but that's pretty much it. It's a nice product but to me this is just another body lotion. It does its job in moisturising my skin and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. If you are not a strong advocate of all natural products like me, then you might want to think twice because it's quite hefty for a price of a body lotion. Though, if you are super ons for the whole vegan and all natural things, then yes, this is probably something you will invest on.

For me, personally, it's a miss. I don't think I'll pay that much for a bottle of lotion. I'd rather steal those free hotel lotions because they work just fine, and... some of them do come in lavender scent too. Lols, I'm not a cheapo (or at least I don't think I am) but I would totally do that because I'm just one of those 73% (according to a study done by Hilton) hotel guests that takes home toiletries and according to this article by Nomad Wallet, it's perfectly fine! In fact, there 32 more free hotel items they have suggested me to take home! xD

This's What Happens When I Let A Guy Conteng My Very First Pair Of TOMS Kasut & The Result Is Beautiful. O.o #ContengKasut #OneForOne

$
0
0

We all know TOMS is quite a hipster thing to own these days and with my very first pair, I totally risked it by allowing someone to conteng (scribble) all over it!

Okay, probably not so drama. My TOMS was in good hands, in fact, #ContengKasut (IG: www.instagram.com/contengkasot/) is an amazing artist. I was there early during the Style Your Sole Celebration event at their 4th store in Sunway Pyramid, to get my blank canvas TOMS and getting it customised for free! Additionally, helping a child in need because every pair you buy, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. It's their One For One mission.

There was actually a file of designs to choose from, it will be in my video coming up soon. After selecting the design I like, I passed it over to the artist and hang around the TOMS store for a bit. I put on their Virtual Reality Headset and watch a meaningful video of what TOMS Company is all about and how they have been helping others in need. Pretty interesting concept. Besides that, of course, I walked around and check out some of their other items. Speaking of which, their female backpacks are gorgeous. Just within 15-20 minutes, he was done with my shoes!

Tadaaa!!!

I've got myself a galaxy designed TOMS! It was so beautiful that I had to wear them out immediately, plus it was definitely way comfier than my pair of high heels, of course. I've been rocking flats to many places recently, mainly in Uni because it's a place I'll have to walk a lot - from uneven stone parking lot to classes. Truly, this is a pair that I've been putting on most of the time. Plus it goes with almost everything. It's surprisingly quite breezy and comfortable for a hot climate like Malaysia, the only problem is when it's raining, it will be soaking wet. Additionally, their shoes seem to be a size smaller than usual. I'm normally a size 5 but with this I had to get a size 6, even their half size up, 5.5, did not work for me. Here's a closer look!

I am delighted to finally own my very first pair of TOMS! I foresee loads of #OOTD with this. Although the free design is a one time only promotion, I heard that they are planning to do more of such event in the future. So if you are interest, do keep tab on them on Facebook at facebook.com/TOMS.MYS

Check out their new store at Sunway Pyramid (Lot F1.09, Level 1).

I Did Not Get My 5 Minutes With Cate Blanchett Before She Preps For The Oscars

$

Unfortunately, our google hangout didn't quite go as well as it should have. It's nobody's fault really, internet in Malaysia is not doing very well. We somewhat missed our slot for the Q&A with Cate Blanchett and all we got to do was to enjoy a wonderful breakfast and watch other countries talk to her. Okay fine, it really wasn't that bad, Gushcloud team was kind enough to prepare such a lavish spread of croissants and a beautiful office meeting room for us to chill in, truly, I'm contented.

And oh my gosh, did I mention that I finally getting my own bottle of the SK-II Facial Treatment Oil?! Yes, I am! First impression, it smells calming and it's definitely a little heavy on the skin, something you would only want to pamper your skin with at night especially in a A/C room. A review will be up soon on that.

Speaking of that, Cate also do love the SK-II Facial Treatment Oil and she has a few beauty tricks up her sleeves in order to be red carpet ready for the Oscars!

and oh, YUNA was there too!

For the Red Carpet, she wore a stunning seafoam Armani Prive feather and crystal trim dress with soft, pastel makeup tones that highlighted her radiant skin. If you don't know, Cate Blanchett is SK-II's Global Ambassador. Of course, to start things off, one of her favourite product from SK-II that has literally Changed her skin's Destiny is the'miracle water', Facial Treatment Essence. She has been using it for 15 years! I myself can't deny the wonders that it has made my skin, Changed the Destiny of my skin as well.

The New Facial Treatment Oil offers immediate and intense moisturisation thanks to the natural-derived oils mixed with SK-II's ingredient, Pitera. Cate said that it's one of the most hydrating products she has ever used, just a few drops to keep her skin dewy. In fact, her makeup artist, Jeanine Lobell, also suggest us to try mixing a few drops of the Facial Treatment Oil with our foundation to create a beautiful glow to the skin. Having a good base for makeup application is the key to a beautiful final makeup look. I guess I know what I'm going to do with my Facial Treatment Oil!

Finally, before she leaves for the red carpet, Jeanine says she always set and further hydrate Cate's makeup with the SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence. I myself can say that it's an amazing on-the-go products that I personally used to throw them in my bag and hydrate my skin during the day when I'm out and about. Though, I personally prefer the Mid-Night Miracle Essence over the Mid-Day one as it contains a cooling agent that gives me the extra refreshing boost to the skin.

Inspired by the stories of the many SK-II loyal users who have shared how the brand’s products made it possible for their skin to #ChangeDestiny, SK-II has moved beyond products alone. The brand has committed to empowering women to take control of their futures and achieve their aspirations through the #ChangeDestiny campaign.

Stay tuned if you want to see more of what happened during the Google Hangout with Cate Blanchett morning at Gushcloud office. There will be a video up very soon! Check out my YouTube Channel if you have not subscribe!

The Immense Pressure, The Exploitations, And The Gratifications Of A Malaysian Blogger

$

My beautiful yet talented girlfriend of mine took this photo of me :) Thank you.

Warning: This might be a long and wordy blogpost with a genuine intention to mainly express my thoughts as a blogger who has been in the industry for quite some time. This post is certainly not by anyway trying to shame any brands or PR companies, if name(s) are mentioned, it's because that incident actually happened.

I think it's about time I said something. I used to stop myself from writing these kind of somewhat controversial blogpost because I was afraid to rock the boat or offend anyone. Enough is enough.

Before I start, firstly, I would like to thank all of you who have been supporting me throughout my blogging journey. I am truly blessed because without you, my readers, I wouldn't be where I am right now. So, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

"My supervisor told me to research on something more serious..."

I've recently did a mini research on the Gratification of Beauty Bloggers in Malaysia for one of my Masters' assignment in semester one. I interviewed four of my blogger friends that I'm truly grateful for. For the first time ever, in the name of research, I get to ask truly deep questions that usually as a friend, I don't find it as appropriate to ask as when it's for education sake. It was interesting to find out why and how my friends started blogging, their crazy stories as a blogger, how much are they getting paid, how often do they get paid, why are they still currently blogging, and etc. As a blogger myself, I find it easy to relate to what most of them have to say and how they feel being a blogger/beauty blogger in Malaysia as it's not quite taken seriously, to the extend of somewhat feeling exploited.

"Apparently, blogging is easy..."

Fast forward, I did well in my assignment and my interest brought me back to wanting to further expand this topic for my final thesis. With much hope and excitement, I brought this topic up to my supervisor and sent my proposal and my research that I've done in sem one for a better understanding of what my topic is about. A few days later, I received an email suggesting me to do a topic that is "something more serious". Needless to say, I cringed to that respond.

"Apparently, nobody cares how bloggers feel..."

I pondered and try to look inwards, why is researching about the gratification of a beauty blogger is not good enough? Why does my supervisor think that this topic is something that is not worth contributing to the world?

And then it hit me like a wave of tsunami, I remembered all the times that I felt exploited and not being taken seriously as a blogger. At least in Malaysia, WE ARE NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Or at least in my opinion, we are not taken seriously enough.

"I remembered all the times that I felt exploited..."

Apparently, nobody cares how bloggers feel and why bloggers blog because all bloggers are cheapskates and just want free stuff.

Really? I feel depreciated already just by typing out those words. I don't deny that they are some bloggers with that kind of intentions, which is perfectly alright because it's their choice but I do not appreciate to be stereotyped as one of them. Not all blogs are created equal

"There's no reason why we should pay them..."

Apparently, blogging is easy. Just take some pictures, type out some words, or even better copy and paste from press release to make PR people happier so that they will send you more invites and stuffs. Thus, it's easy, any tom, dick, and harry can do it, and there are so many out there. There's no reason why we should pay them or give them items of their choice because they are happy with any minimal stuffs we give them and in fact, they should be happy that we are giving them goodies at all.

Really? I feel rather stupid now to spend my money on investing a better camera to produce better picture quality for my blogposts. I feel like an idiot for all those times I sit hours in front of my computer drafting out my blogpost because I wanted to publish my best. I feel like a fool driving all the way from Klang to the all events located in other parts of the city and bore the cost of all the tolls, parking fees, petrol, and etc. All my wasted time, effort, and money... I could have actually spent them on my family and people who truly cares about me.

"Not all blogs are created equal..."

Apparently, it is expected for bloggers to publish a blogpost when we have agreed to attend/attended their event or received their goodies. You've attended our event, you must do a write up for us. We've sent you products, you must do a positive write up about us.

Goodness, what have I got myself into? Out of goodwill, I attended events to find out more about the events itself. I had to pay for my own transportation cost and spent my precious time being present at your event, and suddenly there's such pressure to blog about the event even when the event wasn't even properly managed or interesting. Out of goodwill, I accepted the products and risked myself to try new products that might just break my skin out or cause rashes and allergies, and suddenly there's such pressure to blog positively about the products even when I don't find it good or like it. Goodness, what have I got myself into?

"We've sent you products, you must do a positive write up..."

Apparently, it is not a proper job. Bloggers are doing this as a hobby. Thus, we don't have to pay them for their work because they like doing it anyway. If they can be a full time blogger, they must be rich enough already.

Wow. I guess I must don't like what I do in order to consider it as a proper job. I must hate what I do in order to get paid for my work. I must be rich because I choose to be a blogger. I really don't have anything else better to do in my life, don't I? It must be fun being unemployed and not getting enough income to pay my bills as an adult. #FunEmployed - I guess this is why most Malaysian bloggers say we can't survive by just doing blogging.

"Wah, so nice hor your life, everything also get free..."

Apparently, our friends and family thinks it's easy to just get brands to sponsor us whatever stuff we want/need. I need a new laptop... "Just get them to sponsor you la". I want a new dress... "Just ask them to sponsor you la". I BOUGHT myself a new camera... "Wah, so nice hor your life, everything also get free" O.o

What in the world is happening? My dear brothers and sisters, both biologically and non-biologically, yes I do get free stuffs but there are plenty of other things and bills that I still pay with my own hard earned money. Even if I'm getting sponsored from official collaborations, there are work to be done behind the scenes. Please don't think my life is all so easy but I do believe in God's blessing, thus I am grateful for every opportunity I get. God's blessing is real, all you have to do is believe.

Maybe that's why I took a somewhat 6 months break from blogging last year, I only blogged occasionally when it's paid and/or when I really do like a particular thing. It's probably because I wasn't fulfilling the expected satisfaction that I had in mind and being taken lightly is definitely also part of the issue. Of course, besides that, I wanted to focus on my studies.

"sometimes it's not the PR's fault..."

I do understand sometimes it's not the PR's fault as they are also just doing their job according to what their client or boss wanted. I once worked as a PR Executive and I know how stressful it can be trying to be the middle person for everyone. It's not the best feeling on earth. Some of them are graceful enough to understand that bloggers needed to be compensated properly and if we decide to reject certain events or campaigns, they understand where we are coming from.

When I decided to come back on the whole blogging thing early this year, I've noted a few blogging ground rules for myself to ensure that I won't feel that I'm being exploited as a blogger. I want to be happy with every blogpost that I write, I want to be able to feel the satisfaction and be proud for every blogpost that I produce and publish. Even if it's sponsored or paid reviews, I want it to be as honest and as real as I can. I want to love what I write.

"there are still brands trying to shortchange me and devalue my worth..."

Though, coming back isn't fully 100% smooth sailing either, there are still brands trying to shortchange me and devalue my worth. I've decided to stop giving excuses for these companies who care less about bloggers. If you are wondering who am I to say all these things as I'm not even famous. Well, at least I'm trying and want to be a blogger and an upcoming vlogger who knows my worth. I'm not getting as much jobs or free goodies but I'm definitely happier now.

If you've read till the end of this blogpost, thank you for your time!

MY LAZADA RING LIGHT BLEW UP DURING UNBOXING! EPIC FAIL!

Seriously, THIS JUST HAPPENED!

I was trying to do an unboxing video for my YouTube Channel on the Ring Light that I've just bought from Lazada.com.my because I'm sure a lot of beauty bloggers/youtubers in Malaysia will like to know more about it and how it looks like. The unboxing turned out to be an EPIC FAIL when the light bulb blew while I was trying to switch it on for the very first time! Geezzz. Video as below and feel free to read on further down this blog for more information about this ring light. This is quite hilarious xD

If you’re only interested to watch the EPIC FAIL part, go straight to 4:37. You’ll love it.

The pricing is slightly cheaper now when I checked it again to print screen the website.

Anyway, I placed an order for a ring light, a shotgun mic and some accessories on the 6th March 2016 (Sunday). I've been wanting to get them for the longest time and I felt that it's time to actually own these items as it could greatly benefit the quality of my YouTube videos. I've been diligently uploading videos for the past 2 months now and I'm totally loving it.

The shotgun microphone arrive first with the box slightly dented but works perfectly fine.

Then two days later, on the 17th March 2016, my ring light arrived! I was extremely excited! Immediately, I ran to my room and started filming an unboxing just to show my viewers of what my ring light looks like and will I recommend them to people to buy?

This is the direct link to the ring light I've bought from Lazada: http://bit.ly/1Z5CMWs

Firstly, I will have to say, the shipping service was quick because I was expecting for it to only arrive in the first week of April but it arrived 2 weeks earlier. How is that not exciting, right?

On the downside, for some reason, the product was badly packed. There wasn't even a FRAGILE sticker on it. Other than that, I was pretty impressed with the bag and how sturdy the ring light looks when I first took it out. NOTE: There was no instruction, no paper, no manual in the package as stated on the website. NADA. ZERO.

Fixed it up... Plug it in... then BAM! *watch the video for the full effect* The ring light blew! =_= GREAT... It took me a while to digest what actually happened... It was so funny yet slightly traumatising. My fuss tripped, thank God no injuries and no one being harmed.

After this, I will be filing a report to Lazada.com.my about this and of course, show them my amazing epic fail unboxing video for them to investigate and hopefully, return me my money. After this, I don't think I want to receive the same ring light model. I just want my money back. Period.

Thank you :)

It's been around the internet for a while now and we thought, why not do it together?! We love spicy food and our Chilli Pan Mee and this seems perfect. If you've never had Chilli Pan Mee, please do the next time you come to Malaysia, I can assure you that it's one of the best thing on earth.

Additionally, SamYang Korean Spicy noodle is actually pretty good. It's yummy and really, please don't follow us to do it within 30 seconds... the test of time is not worth it. This noodle is a little pricey in Malaysia but if you have friends who's going to Korea and want to get a souvenir for you, I think this is one pretty good gift just for you to try how it taste like.

We believe most Malaysians can do it!

We are tagging King Daniel, Simon Kong, Matthew Tan and their Girlfriends to join us in our next video! See you then!

Me & My Wireless Flash Drive!

$

As an iPhone user, I am always out of space with my phone. Especially when I do vlog with my phone quite often as my Sony RX100 Mark III spoiled on me recently. I've been relying on phone more often than I used to. It's bad enough I take so many pictures with my phone, video definitely takes up even more space than ever.

To be honest, I've not used a pen drive/ thumb drive/ flash drive, whatever you want to call it, for the longest time. I've been heavily relying on my hard disk for all my work. Of course, a typical traditional hard disk can only give me the external storage for my macbook air that I needed. I usually use dropbox to transfer photos or edited Instagram videos to my phone and vice versa, which will require internet. Thus, it always get me nuts when the internet in Malaysia goes unstable, I really can't do any work!

When I received the new SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick, I thought I was probably going to just use this as a regular pen drive. That's before I got addicted into transferring single files back and forth the wireless flash drive every single day for the past month, and enjoying streaming my movies with my phone when I'm in a place without my laptop. Geez, it truly made my life a bit more convenient and entertaining, especially when it's just for one image or one file or one video... I don't feel the drag to transfer them anymore as usually, I will rather wait to have more files before I transfer them through cable. The best part is that I don't have to worry if the internet is working or not. I can choose to transfer anytime.  Freeing up my phone storage have never been so liberating.

The SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick is part of the award-winning SanDisk Connect Wireless family where they are all designed to meet the growing storage needs, at an affordable price. It has the availability of up to 200GB of capacity, which will allow users to effectively double their mobile storage for greater flexibility on the go. It's a very simple way to save and access all your files, user interface is extremely friendly to work with. All you've got to do is to download the SanDisk Connect App onto your phone or iPad and enjoy the wireless storage solution!

I believe the best part is that you can stream the same videos together with your friends, available to be shared simultaneously up to three devices. You don't have to download it into your phone to watch the same movie with your friends, on your own devices. Imagine how amazing this would be on flights and road trips?! It's such a great entertainer!

The SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick is capable of supporting a single stream for up to 4.5 hours continuous usage on a single charge. With its USB connector, of course, you can connect directly to a computer to save and transfer files instantly.

Personally, I really appreciate the fact that I can wirelessly stream movies, videos, and music without actually downloading the content to my phone. Also, I wouldn't have to worry if there's going to be internet available as it doesn't depend on it. Plus, it's a pretty sleek little device, I can easily slip it into my pocket or practically anywhere. Usually, I will still prefer to plug this to my computer USB for file transfers because it's still easier, but transferring edited images from phone to comp and comp to phone has truly never been easier.

The SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick features a two year warranty is now available in Machines, Switch, EpiCentre, Mac Studio, Mac City, Technocrats and the Digi Store in capacities of 16GB(RM129), 32GB(RM179), 64GB(RM289) and 128GB(RM499). For the 200GB, it will be available later this year.

For more information and videos on how to use this flash drive, check out SanDisk official website.

OK Korean BBQ Restaurant, Bukit Tinggi Klang

Hello from us!

If you are wondering why there's a sudden food post in my blog, for starters, I've just completed my meatless 21 days fasting and prayer for Resurrection Sunday! Hallelujah, thank you Lord for His love and mercy! Thus, I think this post is appropriate now.

Secondly, we are both really simple when it comes to food. If we are in Klang, we'll usually prefer to go for delicious hawker food, the common fast food, the once a week night market, or the amazing yet fattening mamak session. The cheaper, the better. At times, we'll just choose to stay home and have fried eggs and salad. Thus, to actually go out into such "fancy" Korean place that's a little over our usual budget, it's something I should document it and share them with you all.

Thirdly, they always say Klang have loads of food to eat. I don't deny that but most of the time Klangites will always choose to go back the same restaurant that we are familiar with. Since I've not seen anyone review this place yet (other than jkdrooling), might as well kill two birds with one stone.

#LetsGo #TehChamLee #EatTo

It's probably weird but I took the entire menu list for you to check out the price. We were there in February 2016, pricing shouldn't change that much. They have the usual Korean BBQ, Dakgalbi set, Soup, bossum, and etc.

It was just the both of us, thus, we took the set meals. Plus, we know that there's always side dishes to munch on. As you can see, the prices are not that cheap but I guess it's common for Korean restaurants. One person's dinner for a min. RM25++, that's steep! Imagine the amount of claypot chicken rice I order... Well, technically, it's pretty much the same price as having Western and maybe even Asian food in Bangsar and KL, thus, I think it's just my Klang mentality. Just because you are in Klang, doesn't mean the food should always be cheaper.

We decided to order the Beef Casserole with Glass Noodles (no.20 RM28+) and Spicy Stir-fried Pork (no.28 RM27+).

I think I ordered either corn tea or genmaicha (maybe cost around RM5 or RM6 per cup). Here are the side dishes: Kimchi, black bean stuff that I absolutely like, vegetable, macaroni salad look-alike, vegetables, and big pieces of coral leaves to wrap our meat in it.

Spicy Stir-fried Pork (no.28 RM27+)

The taste of this is not too bad, it's quite nice. There's a good balance of sweet, salty, and spicy, and there's actually quite a lot of meat for that small pot. The seaweed soup as pretty delicious too. Yums... Although, I still prefer a similar one in IPC, a small Korean shop at the lower ground floor. It's been a while since I was there, maybe I should visit that place again.

Beef Casserole with Glass Noodles (no.20 RM28+)

Having this boiling hot was definitely scrumptious with strands of somewhat minced beef. Pairing it with rice, darn, so good. Quite satisfiying but eat as much and as fast as you can because the soup will become slightly thicker and saltier as it gets colder. Unless, you like it that way, it will still taste pretty good with rice when it's cold.

They have 3 special parking spots for customers! :D YES! Just remove the cone and park directly in front of the shop. Plus, the shop is brightly lit by all the lights and sign board, I doubt anyone can miss it.

Sheep Placenta Extract For Your Face!

$
0
0

I've did some research. Apparently Kim Kardashian, Harry Styles, and Victoria Beckham absolutely love to go for Sheep Placenta Facials. In fact, it's known as 'the most perfect treatment" as it's suppose to be super hydrating and nourishing according to Beverly Hills aesthetician Louise Deschamps for these A-list celebrities. It plumps the skin and make you leave feeling glowy and fresh.

So when I was contacted to try out the Chantelle Bio Placenta from Australia, why not give it a try. I have never heard of the brand Chantelle nor have I tried Sheep Placenta extract before but I've known celebrities loving it by watching loads of YouTube.

Chantelle products are an exclusive powerful formulation made up of Australian sheep placenta extract and anti-aging collagen. It's a natural way to make your appearance younger and healthier. Chantelle is a brand under Careline Australia Pty Ltd that's one of the leading Australian companies specialising in natural skin care.

How it works? The pure bio-active, natural placenta extract collagen has similar molecular structure to the skin's collagen so the body is able to absorb and recognises it as its own. Thus, it's easily and readily penetrates into the sub dermal skin layers which allows effective assimilation by the skin to fortify the restoration and recovery of the skin by replenishing and increasing collagen regeneration. It's ideal for anti-aging. Particularly for this serum, it comes with grape seed extract and vitamin E too.

I'm just gonna say it, I really don't know if it helps to make me look younger but I do like the fact that it truly absorbs into the skin COMPLETELY. It does what it say, it's easily and readily penetrates into the sub dermal skin layer. Usually, I try to have something that could leave some moisture on the surface layer too because of my dry skin but for a serum, I don't mind it being fully absorbed as it's meant to work with my collagen beneath the epidermis. It doesn't take long to for it to penetrate into the skin, just a light massage will do. The texture of the product feels a little strange, it feels somewhat like oil but it's completely oil either. I'm not quite sure if I like how the product feels on my hands but it absorbs completely into the skin anyway, what do I care how it feels on the skin. =_=

With this, I don't do the usual rub between fingers first before applying. I go straight to doing drops onto my face and work it in immediately. Also, I did not see immediate results for this product. I believe this is one of those skincare items that you will need to continuously use for a long period of time before you can see any kind of changes. Plus, although I'm into the whole anti-aging skincare products because I'm of the age of needing it already, I think this will work better for mature skin type. Maybe someone above 35 or so. I have no idea how much this cost because it's not stated anywhere in the website but feel free to drop them an email to enquire.

Taman Chi Liung Claypot Chicken Rice, Klang

HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE?! For more than 10 years living in Klang and going to Chi Liung pasar pagi and malam ample of times and I have no idea about this apparently famous claypot chicken rice. Clearly, I was hanging out with the wrong group of friends. =_=

My stomach is already growling just by looking at these pictures...

What's even better was that before we decided to fill our tummy with a whole load of crabs for dinner, we were playing badminton (exercising) in somewhere in Andalas. Indulging after a good workout, what an awesome fellowshipping session with these wonderful people.

You can choose to order your Claypot Chicken Rice with or without lap cheong or salted fish. Of course, I will add in both. It just taste better with everything in. It cost RM9 for small pot and RM13 for a big pot. I do like the taste of it, I mean come on, almost anything with taste good when you are hungry. It's not the best Claypot Chicken Rice I've tasted but it's good enough and I definitely don't mind dropping by for dinner if I'm craving for some of these. Apparently, my friends say that it used to taste better but oh well, it's still pretty tasty.

My friends told me that it's a must to try their Pork Belly Pepper Soup, best if you have a crowd of four because it's a pretty big portion. It's PEPPERY alright, almost can cure flu... just kidding. The soup is nice and have quite a lot of ingredients in it. However, I'm not sure how much this cost.

Korek the base of the pot for the best part!

Finally, I'm Fixing My Teeth And This Is How I'm Getting Them Done!

Me and my ClearSmile Aligner on!

I'm super excited that I finally get to pen down my thoughts about my ClearSmile Aligner journey! Bear in mind, I've only been wearing them for about a month with their first set of aligners, thus changes are very small to almost nothing, not quite visible with our naked eyes. Besides that, be warn, with me going on this journey, there will be a lot of my "scary" teeth pictures that I've never, ever imagine posting it online or even shown to anyone as I am truly self-conscious about them. If you have seen my IG, FB, or even just following me on this blog, you'll notice that I've almost never smiled with my teeth or even show my teeth for a picture. Doing this is rather a big deal for me because like many others (yes, I've spoken to so many people who had at least get their teeth straighten before), this will be one of the life changing moment for me once I'm done with the treatment.

Without further ado, enjoy reading my story!

My usual pose without showing teeth
Why am I doing this?
As much as I am a confident, bubbly person (I've been told that a lot) and you've probably known me as someone that don't really care about what others said about me, I do have insecurities too. My teeth being one of them and being in this industry or the industry that want to make it in the future, I feel that not having a "beautiful smile with teeth" is some what a setback. I feel like I'm being held back from so much more opportunities, preventing me from going further or even at least, in my mind, I feel that I can't go further or not getting certain engagements because of this "lacking".

I know this sounds like a #FirstWorldProblems reasoning and there are so many in need people out there, but I'm doing this for me. I have been living 25 years of my life accepting my teeth as it is with a full awareness that I just won't smile with teeth when getting my pictures taken, so this is me, investing in my future. I'm always a firm believer of bettering myself in all aspects. Physical attributes are not everything but plays an important role in my life because I personally am one of those people that feels better when I know I'm looking my best. Additionally, having long term plans being in this industry (blogging and YouTube) fully motivated me to get this "setback" out of my way and I'm doing this with the help of ClearSmile Aligner!

What is ClearSmile Aligner?
This is a clear removable cosmetic appliance designed to straighten mostly your front 6-8 teeth. ClearSmile Aligner technology can straighten teeth that are crowded, rotated, tilted forward or backwards using exact impressions taken by a dentist. Then, a proposal incorporating your dentist’s advice will be presented to show you the possible results. Once you've approved the proposal, custom-made ClearSmile Aligners are fabricated using the latest in 3D printing technology.

In layman terms, unlike metallic braces, these practically invisible aligners can be removed at any time. It claims to be almost completely painleswith the use of 3 different thicknesses (soft-medium-hard) for every step throughout the treatment, thereby uses very small amount of pressures to gently and progressively correct dental misalignment. The aligners are manufactured from lightweight transparent materials and custom made for each patient, making them comfortable. The treatments with ClearSmile generally lasts 6-15 months, depending on the condition of your teeth.

What you'll receive?
  • Container for the aligners
  • 1 set of aligners (3 pairs, soft, medium, hard)
  • Chewies (to facilitate the fitting)

How to use?
It's basically as easy as putting it on and only taking it off when eating. It's suggested to wear the for at least 17 hours per day, and do regular chewing exercise with the chewies provided, in order to turn the aligners from ‘ill-fitted” to “well fitted” before moving to the next step. Of course, to keep it as hygienic as possible, I'll usually clean them with my toothbrush.

As for the process, they calculate by step. Each step, we'll be given 3 pairs of clear aligners in different thickness - soft, medium, and hard. Each pair of aligners are to be worn for a full week before switching to the next thickness level. Thus, making it give or take 3 weeks for each step. Dentist may just ask you to wear slightly longer if you can't fit in the current step of aligners by the end of 3rd week. However, for the medium and hard aligners, it's normal should you need to somewhat force them to fit.

More explanation will be given in a video some time mid next month.

My Experience

Preparation:
I had to get a full X-ray taken before an impression/mould of my teeth was taken to check if there are any complications that might not be suitable for the treatment. Then once the moulds are taken, I waited for them to send me a treatment proposal for me to see if the possible final results are desirable to my expectations. My teeth proposed results are as below. If everything is okay, the ClearSmile Aligner team will start to prepare the plastic aligners. I waited for about a month to get my first set.

Upon arrival of my first set of aligners (Step 1):
Just before I put on my first set of aligners, my teeth case did not require any extractions but I had to get some parts of my teeth stripped (shaved) to create space for teeth movement. Besides that, I also had to do scaling so I can start with a clean set of teeth.

After that, Dr. Tan (my dentist) taught me on how to put it on and how to remove them. Truly, others can't really tell that you are wearing them. My friends all had focused hard to really see the aligners.

Set 1 Journey

When I wore Step 1, Soft:
It was a bit weird at first and quite painful. I was suffering for the first few days, especially for the lower teeth. My teeth and gums wasn't used to it and I had to take some pain killers just to ease the discomfort. After taking out the aligners for food, I remember always don't feel like eating as my gums became a little sensitive to munching on foods. Then, on my 4th or 5th day, things just got so much easier from there. I can easily put and remove the aligners as wished. During the second visit later, my dentist said I should have informed him if not feeling comfortable, as every case is different. If the aligner is pressing on the gum, he would trim off the edge a little. As for my case, he said he had no worries looking at my progress and the discomfort was probably due to the first time wearing and adjustment by aligners.

When I wore Step 1, Medium:
I changed to my medium set 1 exactly on the day I was supposed to. However, it took me some time to get it in. I was still new on this, thus wasn't very daring in forcing it as I'm afraid that I'll break it or hurt my gums. Once it was in, I was so happy.. until I tried to remove it, =_= it was tougher than getting them fitted onto my teeth. I swear it took me at least a good 5 minutes to figure out the best way to remove it. On a brighter note,  I did not experience any severe discomfort as I did with the first ever aligners. I could focus and do my work without any problems.

When I wore Step 1, Hard:
It was around the CNY time and I knew that I will have a lot of house visiting and munching to do. Thus, I believe I only started this the 2nd day of CNY. The experience was similar to the medium thickness aligners, harder to get it on and take it off but I did not really felt any major discomfort as the first time. I knew that I was going to wear them less often, I totally reschedule my dentist appointment to a week later just to make sure I have covered up the hours I missed during the festive season.

Overall for Step 1:
So far, comparing side by side my before and after picture, I don't really see much difference but what's more important to see the end result. I have another 6 Steps to go thus should end around July if all goes well. However, after wearing them for a month, even with me feeling as if like there's no changes yet, I know very well that I've actually starting to smile with teeth or at least practice smiling with teeth so that I'm prepared when the beautiful straight teeth comes. I trained myself to be more confident smiling with teeth and finding ways of the best angles for pictures. Not perfect yet but I know at least I'm doing something about it and getting there! :D

Step 2 Journey

After 3 weeks, I had to drop by the dentist to follow up on my progress and proceed with the fitting for step 2 aligners. It's just basically a really simple check to see if step 1 hard aligners fitted well on my teeth before putting on step 2 soft aligners. It took me less than 30 minutes and I'm out of the place.

When I wore Step 2, Soft:
Just a slight tightness and sore to the teeth and gums. Nothing major and no massive pain. Slipping in and out of the aligners were like child's play, so easy.

When I wore Step 2, Medium:
Of course, felt even tighter and took me some time to put it on for the first time for the upper aligner as it does need some forcing but all good. No issues slipping it on and off the lower aligners. Again, no pain whatsoever. However, I realise the easier it is for me to slip them off and on, the more often I would take them off to snack during the day which ultimately, made me wear them less in a day. Need to stop the bad habit. I had to wear them for an extra 1 to 2 days before proceeding to the final stage.

When I wore Step 2, Hard:
Slipped right on without hassle! Hallelujah! Just the usual tightness, no pain, no major soreness, and no cuts. The aligners are getting pretty comfortable and I feel I'm really getting used to the whole aligners' lifestyle where it does feel like there's something missing if I don't have it on for the day, especially when I'm out and about the entire day. I remember accidentally fell asleep without my aligners' on and woke up feeling extremely bad the next day. Geez. Oh well, sometimes, it's just unavoidable.

Overall for Step 2:
Somehow, slipping the aligners on and off became really easy. Wearing my aligners was really growing on me and becoming apart of my lifestyle. They were comfortable with no pain other than the usual tightness on the teeth and gums. By the time I was done with my set 2, it was quite apparent that my lower teeth are moving because the gap of the hole is reducing (thank God!). It's really not pretty to have a hole in your teeth, glad that's closing up! It's harder to pin point the movements of my upper teeth as not visible on pictures. My dentist says that it will take a little longer to move the upper teeth as there are no gaps like the lower teeth, so I will have to be patient with that. Though, apparently he said that the front upper tooth with the button seemed to have moved downwards a little, which honestly, I'm not going to lie, I can't tell the difference at the moment.

I got my ClearSmile Aligner treatment done by an amazing Dentist, Dr. Tan in Klang. He's young but very professional and most importantly handles my teeth with much gentle care. Plus, his rates are generally much cheaper than most dentists around Klang Valley. For ClearSmile Aligner treatment, it can range from RM9000-RM15,000 depending of cases.

As mentioned, there will be a video up around mid next month talking more about my experiences and some tips on tackling different situations when using the ClearSmile Aligner.
